Each restaurant will add their own ‘flair’ to their signature chilis.

SUITABLY UNIQUE STYLE

At Zapwater Communications we pride ourselves on not only hard work and great placements, but also our ability to forge long lasting successful relationships with our clients.

Since my first day at Zapwater I have had the privilege of working on the public relations for HALO [FOR MEN]. HALO is known throughout Chicago as the go-to salon destination for men looking to stay sharp, trimmed, and stylish. Over the past year and a half I have enjoyed working with them on countless promotions, events, and Movember (Thank Goodness my Stache is gone).

In 2011, HALO [FOR MEN] has expanded their brand to launch Chicago’s newest custom clothier, Sebastien Grey. The development of Sebastien Grey Clothiers is the perfect pairing of the business savvy instincts of HALO [FOR MEN] owner Robert Patrizi, and the extraordinary talent of Chicago’s best tailors. Patrizi envisioned an opportunity to further service his clientele by bringing a new custom tailoring brand into the HALO [FOR MEN] space.

The market called for a label that was not only affordable but offered apparel both classic and modern, the intersection of tradition and trend through expertly handpicked designs.

With recent placements that have included CS, Time Out Chicago, NBC Chicago, and Chicago Magazine I think it is safe to say the future holds great things for both HALO [FOR MEN] and Sebastien Grey.

Ricky Gervais, host of the 2011 Golden Globes awards wore a spectacular bespoke Ted Baker London suit for the occasion. We are proud to represent this international lifestyle brand which is a consistent celebrity favorite.

The Zapwater team works with fashion clients on opportunities like this. We worked with several celebrity stylists for the Golden Globes and placed samples on three celebrities and secured countless fashion credits in publications like USA Today and the Los Angeles Times.

SMALL BUSINESSES KEEPING UP

Small businesses always face challenges when they first start developing their brand and creating their clientele. Apps could be the perfect solution.

This morning, Founder and CEO Jim Heising of Red Foundry a Mobile App Platform, had the chance to share his insights on the future of apps and small businesses with Forbes.com listeners on Jim Blasingame’s radio show “The Small Business Advocate.“

Jim suggested that apps are a key business tool for small businesses interested in offering customers quick and easy access to information. Through apps, customers have enhanced access to a company, and as a result, are able to develop a more personal relationship with the small business.

Jim also pointed out that in the future, apps will be available over several mediums, increasing the power of their presence and creating the ultimate take-home experience. Apps that provide quick and relevant information will make a company more efficient without extra employees. Eventually, apps will become the preferred way of communication because of their ease and quick delivery of information.

Ultimately, through Red Foundry, small businesses don’t have to spend thousands of dollars paying an app developer; they can create a beautiful and relevant app with the simple and easy tools provided.
